Jennifer has gained a following for her grape growing and winemaking abilities across many grape varieties and growing regions. She is regarded for her ability to recognize exceptional vineyards and to craft perfectly balanced, elegant, age-worthy wines. Jennifer believes in being a steward to the land and in non-invasive winemaking techniques. It is with this approach that Jennifer's sought after wines have received exceptional scores and awards.
Born in Northern California, Jennifer originally intended to study medicine but redirected her love for the sciences into grape growing and winemaking. After earning her degrees in Viticulture, Enology and Plant Pathology from UC Davis, Jennifer worked with a north coast vineyard consulting firm that developed and maintained acclaimed vineyards in Napa and Sonoma. After working with world renowned Pinot Noir grower, Francis Mahoney and making wine beside Steve MacRostie, Jennifer collaborated on the creation of Anaba Wines where she worked as General Manager and Director of Winemaking and Vineyard Operations. Jennifer currently consults with new and established wineries and growers to define, develop, and execute their production and marketing goals. Jennifer is an instructor in the Wine Studies department at Santa Rosa Junior College and also conducts wine education and staff training on topics related to wine business, winemaking, and viticulture for private enterprises.
